The philosophy behind FiPME

As gamers ourselves, we are sick and tired of how hard and slow it is to buy/sell virtual goods and services. Especially between games. And especially if you’re out of cash but need to buy/sell something ASAP.

We are also tired of unfair pricing and the crazy commissions that third-party vendors and centralized marketplaces offer you. Especially for the smaller, not so popular games, which are hardly covered by any shops.

We believe that all this is unfair and that gamers’ work, skill, and time should be honored just like any other work, skill, and time that generates value for others.

That’s why we decided to create FiPME to:

  • Let all gamers monetize the results of their ingame efforts by trading them in a simple, fast, and secure way - and at low cost

  • Out of cash? Trade directly between games with no money involved

Why not transfer your virtual goods from one game to another, without having to first exchange it for real money and then buy new stuff in another game? With FiPME’s InterGameSwap, you can exchange goods directly

  • Forget the scammers: trade securely with escrow accounts

First, we release buyers’ money from escrow accounts only after both parties confirm the item’s been transferred. Second, all users go through a KYC process and if they still try to cheat, we ban them from ever using FiPME again

  • Trade ANY tradable goods from ANY games - and get paid for it!

At FiPME, you are free to open new markets for trading any items from any games you want. Moreover, if you do that, You’ll receive your part of all future commissions from the trading that happens at that market!

  • Maximize your profits using our market analytics

We’re the only website to provide real market analytics and news on virtual economies. You can leverage it in your trading strategies or while playing - for example, focus on getting the high-demand items

FAQ

  • How is the transfer of the goods guaranteed or the other way around?

We cannot initially guarantee the physical transfer of the goods in the virtual world, as the users/players have to hand it over in the virtual worlds personally using FiPME-led agreements. Security for the buyer is accomplished through an escrow system: we guarantee that the payment is secured and is only booked from buyer to seller after a successful handover. The seller on the other hand does know for sure that the funds are ready for him.
Midterm goal in cooperation with the publishers: implementation of "FiPME banks" in the virtual worlds allowing users to trade the "account balances" via FiPME and send and receive them via "wire transfer" (currencies and goods).
  • The goods are in the account of the seller on the platform of the game. So you have to meet on the FiPME platform first and what are the next steps?

The FiPME Exchange is the trading platform. We provide the price finding tool and guide through the associated "back office"/settlement and payment procedures. After the completion of the trade of two members the settlement/back office guiding routine is "run" by FiPME for the users. In other words, tasks must be performed and confirmed.
  • As the game manufacturers have no interest in giving up their own business, will it therefore be very difficult to get their cooperation?

Game manufacturers can be interested for a variety of reasons and will benefit in more than one way from FiPME:
    • Established game manufacturers have the advantage of generating additional revenue in high volumes by “opening [their] new markets” and promoting their existing clients as “new members”. Through “new markets” and “promoted members” arise permanent income streams. The Intergame – Swap will bring new customers / new buying power.
    • Young or smaller game manufacturers can use FiPME to "finance" their game through tradable ingame goods and therewith position themselves anew.
    • Overall, all manufacturers benefit from community building and independent (!) monetization of ingame goods.
    • Recruited members generate income with each trade in the future, so that publishers make money when their recruited member buys something in game b.
    • Our business Plan foresees that each game manufacturer receives a commission for the traded goods/services in "its game" as an automatic commission (FiPME's reward system).
    • The huge shadow market of trading virtual goods is a thorn in the side of game manufacturers: they are left out and do not participate financially.
    • On top there are other problems which FiPME solves for them. Transaction frauds in the "unregulated grey market" lead to all sorts of fraud within the games, identity theft or account hacking. This puts a massive burden on publishers (unjustly).
    • Some game publishers have up to 10000 requests a day. If FiPME "regulates" the flow and becomes a reference, fewer requests will reach the Publishers → fewer requests, less hacking, fewer personnel.
  • Although there are more than 2.2 billion gamers, but potential games in which goods are traded are more likely in the double-digit million range. Do you have representative figures on this?

FiPME adds value to all players in all games. Because the platform not only conveys virtual goods, but also services in all (online) games.
Let us take the 1972 computer game Pong (in an online Version): Black Screen, white bat left and right, white ball. The ball has to be played back and forth (must not get through). Even in this rudimentary designed game the player can book a very good doubles partner for a fee through FiPME in order to win at a double tournament ("Purchase Service Mercenary"/Boost).
In addition, FiPME addresses two worlds: gamers and traders ... every day, volumes in derivatives are traded at a multiple of the global wealth.
Concerning member numbers: we expect 16m members (traders and gamers) in the 5th Year. This is a conservatively calculated market share.
  • There are enormous numbers of websites, stores, communities and other platforms where virtual goods and services are offered. How do these benefit from FiPME ?

FiPME is an exchange for all customers: B2B, B2C, C2C.
We invite anybody to show their offerings (additionally) on our exchange (through API’s) and participate through a wider customer range and stronger buying power.

Commissions to use the exchange are comparable low and should not interfere with anyone’s business.
  • Where does the name FiPME come from?

    • F irst
    • i nternational
    • P lay
    • M oney
    • E xchange
The company operates under First International Play Money Exchange oÜ, but we mostly use the abbreviation FiPME.
